Rangely Wedding!
We just wrapped up a busy weekend of catering a wedding in Rangely, Colorado. The wedding was for approximately 300 people and luckily, the weather cooperated. There were storm clouds in the sky, but they decided to pass us by. The set was beautiful and all of the little details made for an incredible event! Congratulations to the lovely couple. We wish you the best!

Our Son's Wedding! Part ll!!!
Our son and daughter-in-law recently got the professional pictures back from their wedding, and we were all extremely pleased! As always, Jon Burke did a phenomenal job! We have worked with Jon on numerous occasions. So, of course we used him on an event so close and special to us. We can't thank him enough for his great work! He was there several hours before the wedding, taking pictures of all the details, and stayed well into the late hours of the wedding reception. For more information about Jon and his photography, visit his site here. Below is just a small preview of some of the photos.

Retirement Party
It's amazing how fast time flies, especially when you're having fun! We would like to send a BIG Congratulations to Harold Elam of Elam Construction on his retirement. Below are some pictures from the party which took place at Two Rivers Winery. The menu consisted of priscuitto wrapped asparagus, mini chili rellenos, stuffed mushrooms, asian pork wontons, bourbon cocktail meatballs, and of course, what's a party without...CAKE!

Our Son's Wedding!
As a caterer, you are always planning other people weddings and events. Perhaps as caterers, we are too preoccupied to realize that someday our own children will one day have a special event. Well, for us, that day has come and gone. Our son recently had his wedding, and it was most certainly everything we expected and more. The ceremony took place at St. Joseph's Church and the reception followed at Two Rivers Winery. You may be asking yourself who catered our son's wedding. Well...we did. Yes, as his parents, we felt that it was up to us to make sure that his day was perfect. Luckily, we have a wonderful staff that allowed us to enjoy the reception while allowing everything to go smoothly. Congratulations to our son Tyrel and new daughter Kat on a beautiful wedding and a prosperous marriage! Below we have some pictures of the transformation before the wedding reception. More to come soon!

Allen Unique Autos - Grand Opening!
We recently had the pleasure of catering the grand opening party for Allen Unique Autos. If you are not familiar with Allen Unique Autos, they are Grand Junction's first and only car museum along with providing a premier limo service. They have arguably not only one of the best car collections in Colorado, but in the U.S. Tammy Allen's love of cars is evident the moment you step foot in the building. She has established a name for herself amongst car collectors and has been kind enough to share her love with the public. The museum is located at 2285 River Road in Grand Junction, Colorado and is filled with exotic and restored cars and motorcycles. It's a fantastic venue for your next party or event. Spring is in the Air!
As Spring in Colorado usually goes, mother nature has been playing games. One day it's 70 degrees, and the next day it's snowing. However, as we get further along through the month of April, the weather is gradually getting nicer and the flowers are starting to bloom. Also, we are entering the beginning of wedding season. Spring/Summer is a great time to get married in Colorado; however, it comes at a price. Outdoor weddings can also be risky, as our Colorado weather is often unpredictable. However, by taking necessary precautions, one can help ensure that their wedding day will go smoothly. Adding tents and sidewalls may be necessary depending on the location of the event. Also, tents can help to keep guests comfortable should the weather be very sunny and hot. If you are thinking about doing hosting a Spring/Summer wedding or event, contact us today at 970.810.3255 and we can guide you through the process and answer any questions which you may have.

2011 Taste of the Grand Valley
We just finished up with the 9th Annual Taste of the Grand Valley, and it was definitely a success. It was held at the Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction, Colorado and the turnout was great. We fed somewhere between 1500 and 2000 people. The event is hosted by the United Way of Mesa County and the money raised goes to providing services for homeless individuals in our community. We would like to thank everyone that came out and hope you were able to sample some of our creations. For our booth this year, we chose to go with a dinosaur theme since at one time there were dinosaurs in the Grand Valley, so it was only fitting that we provided the public with various types of "DINOSAUR FOOD." The Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita was kind enough to let us borrow some props which definitely helped make our booth come alive! If you're not familar with the Dinosaur Museum in Fruita, visit their site here. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

2011 Wedding Expo!
The last couple of weeks have been pretty hectic around our kitchen. We just completed the 10th annual 'Wedding of a Lifetime' Wedding Expo and are preparing for Taste of the Grand Valley on Monday, February 7th. Overall, we would have to say the Wedding Expo was a success. The event was held at Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction, Colorado on January 30th, and the turnout was great. Our day began at 5 am with loading decorations to transform our empty booth space into something magical; however, we began preparing display food for the event on Saturday afternoon; although, the majority of the food was cooked just hours before the event began. Our approach this year was to create tables which were themed to popular songs. This gave us the opportunity to showcase some of our creativity as well as give the general public a small taste of some of the many things we can create. To accompany our tables, we provided food samples of some popular menu items for individuals attending the event. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth and hope that we were able to answer all of your questions. If you were not able to talk with us, and would like to, please feel free to schedule an appointment by calling 970.241.1865.
